A word to my non-Orthodox friends
The title of my post is really just to catch the eye of anyone who sees that I posted to my blog, on Facebook. It is also intended to be directed toward my Protestant friends, or those who claim to be followers of Jesus, but not Christians any more.
This Podcast is from a series called the Illumined Heart on Ancient Faith Radio, hosted by Kevin Allen. His most recent episode is titled “Can We Really Know God?” The reason I made a call-out to my non-Orthodox friends, is that he explains the differences between the spirituality of the Orthodox and Protestants (Fundamentalist Evangelicals for the most part). It’s non-confrontational, and is just a good, simple explanation of the Tradition of the Church as it relates to knowing God. It is divided into two parts, the second of which will be out next week. This is a blog about my journey from Protestantism to the Eastern Orthodox Church, and reflections of have as an Orthodox Christian. Not very original, but I am hoping to sort out some of what I have learned and share my journey with others. I hope this will help explain some things for my friends and family. I also hope this may help someone who is not yet my friend, that I have not yet met.
